2-Step Verification Enrollment Session for Residence Life
As part of a continued effort by the RMU IT department to keep faculty, staff, and student accounts and data secure, we are holding informational enrollment sessions on Google’s 2-Step Verification. This extra layer of security for your RMU Google Apps account requires you to enter a code (similar to a PIN) after you enter your usual username and password to sign-in. There are several ways that you can choose to receive this code:
- Text message
- Free app for your mobile phone and tablet
- Voice call (office phone, mobile or other phone of your choice)
- Printed codes
Members of the Information Technology department staff will be available in stop by your office on the date listed below to answer questions, explain the process and help you enroll your RMU Google Apps (Gmail) account in 2-Step Verification:

Each set-up will take about 15 minutes. Please CLICK HERE to schedule a specific time to meet with an IT staff member to get enrolled in 2-Step Verification. It is helpful to bring your mobile phone and tablet to your appointment. Enrolling in 2-Step Verification simplifies the 60-day password change process on all of your mobile devices.
